Currently, Alyssa is finishing her studies and training at Penn Foster College to become licensed veterinary technician. Her areas of interest in care are hospitalization and treatment. Outside of the clinic, Alyssa warmly cares for her dog, Sid, and her four cats, Nala, Ragetti, Jack, and Rubble; 2 of which she rescued and raised from 3 weeks old. In her free time she loves getting outdoors and hanging with her 2 kids. .
Della, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Della earned her Associate's in veterinary technology from Alfred State University and has worked for 4 years as a licensed veterinary technician. A high priority for Della in her work is being a well-rounded technician, offering a comfort level and skill in many areas which support the clinic's proficiency in veterinary care. Della loves just about any activity that lets her enjoy the fresh, open air. One of her favorite things about the local area is the variety in the seasons, each of which offers her a different way to experience the outdoors.
Before joining Home Veterinary Care, Mary worked for 15 years with a humane society, providing protection and shelter for animals in need. Mary is a native New Yorker, growing up in Caton, NY. Though Elmira will always be home, she has worked with animal hospitals in Tennessee and Georgia. At home, Sherry has 2 parrots, an Amazon named Reba and a Senegal named Xeta; as well as 2 cats, Tish and Lily, a dog, lovingly rescued, named Anya, and her Friesian horse, Twarres.
